These are the same packing standards our crews use every day. Whether you're packing everything yourself or just want your fragile items handled right, this covers the categories that matter most.

Books

Small book carton · 1.5 cu ft
  • Lay flat, alternating spines/bindings each layer
  • Separate layers with folded packing paper
  • Use smaller books or magazines to fill gaps, or add wadded paper
  • Seal with quality packing tape and label

Small Framed Pictures

3.0–4.5 cu ft carton
  • Never lay flat -- always pack standing upright
  • Cushion the bottom with wadded packing paper
  • Wrap each piece individually, leave cushion space between them
  • Top off with paper to keep everything snug, mark "Fragile"

Large Framed Pictures

Glass pack / mirror carton
  • Choose 2-piece or 4-piece cartons sized to your piece, or custom crating for oversized art
  • Cardboard corner inserts help protect edges
  • Seal and label clearly

Glassware

Dish pack · 4.5–6.0 cu ft
  • Never lay glassware flat
  • Bowls can nest in their normal (not edge-on) position
  • Cushion the bottom, wrap each piece individually, stand upright
  • Top off with paper or plasticware to fill space, mark "Fragile"

Stemware, Crystal & Collectibles

1.5, 3.0 or 6.0 cu ft dish pack
  • Never lay flat
  • Cushion the bottom with wadded paper
  • Wrap each piece individually, then again in bubble wrap, and tape securely
  • Stand upright, top off carton to keep everything snug, mark "Fragile"

Linens

3.0 or 4.5 tall cu ft carton
  • Pack sheets, towels and pillows together
  • Fragile lamps can nest safely inside linens for cushioning
  • Pack lampshades alone in their own carton, marked "Top Load Only"

Hanging Clothes

Wardrobe carton, 24″ hanging bar
  • Use the bottom space for shoes, pillows, comforters or dust covers
  • Suitcases and duffel bags work well for ties, jeans and other folded items
