How Much Does It Cost to Move a Pool Table?
A pool table isn't a piece of furniture you move like anything else in the house -- it has to come apart, and it has to go back together correctly. Here's what factors into the cost.

Plus CashWhy Pool Tables Cost More to Move
A regulation pool table can weigh anywhere from 400 to over 1,000 pounds, most of it concentrated in one to three slabs of slate under the felt. Moving one safely means fully disassembling it -- removing the rails, pockets and felt, then carefully lifting out the slate -- and reassembling and releveling it at the destination. That's real specialized labor, not just heavy lifting.
What Affects the Price
Should You Hire a Specialist?
Pool tables are one of the items where hiring movers experienced with specialty items genuinely matters. Disassembling and reassembling one incorrectly can damage the slate, warp the frame, or leave the table permanently unlevel -- expensive mistakes that are hard to undo. If your move includes a pool table, mention it when you request your quote so it can be planned and priced accurately as part of the move.
